What to bring:
Referral letter from GP, family physician or other doctor
Medicare card, DVA card, pension card
Reports, X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, EEG’s etc. and any other relevant information
Copy of MRI/CT Scan on a disc. Although imaging reports are useful, seeing the pictures are even better. Dr Phamnguyen can go through with you any findings, normal or abnormal. Some of these images can be post-processed by Dr Phamnguyen to increase the sensitivity of identifying abnormalities.
Symptom/event diary, list of symptoms or descriptions from family members/witnesses can be quite valuable
What the initial consultation will involve?
The initial consultation will be about gathering as much information from you as possible whilst addressing the most important issues
A physical exam will be performed
Any tests or investigations completed prior will be reviewed
How long will the initial consultation be?
One hour is set aside for the initial consultation to allow a full and detailed assessment
During the initial consultation we will discuss all the steps involved in your care including potential tests and investigations
